Kimanga is an administrative ward of Ilala district of Dar es Salaam region Tanzania. According to the 2012 census, the ward has a population of 78,557. Kimanga consists of five subwards including Tembomgwaza, Twiga, Kimanga, Sokoine, and Darajani.
The Ramani Huria team conducted community meetings in Kimanga wards so as to get accurate data and produce maps that will support ward leaders in planning and preparedness for disasters. After map production, the datasets were shared back with the community leaders and support them to read maps and how they can use them in their ward.
