    On Saturday 28th January, please join volunteers, colleagues, students, and partners on "Maps for Saving lives" MaptimeTZ event cohosted by Tanzania Data Lab (dLab) and Ramani Huria.

    No mapping or technical experience is required! Anyone is welcome to join to help improve freely accessible public information about AIDS & HIV in districts across Tanzania.

    Bring: Yourself & a Laptop (if you do not have a laptop we have a few desktops or will ask you to share with another volunteer)

    Dress: Casual/Business-Casual

    Learn: No prior knowledge is necessary, however you can watch a mapping video here and learn how to map.

    On Tuesday 14th March, please join volunteers, colleagues, students, and partners on the next Maptime Tanzania mapathon event cohosted by Tanzania Data Lab (dLab) and Ramani Huria.

    No mapping or technical experience is required - the Ramani Huria team can assist you with all the tools you need to be part of mapping community! Anyone is welcome to join to help improve freely accessible public information about AIDS & HIV in districts across Tanzania.

    Ramani Huria and Tanzania Data Lab (dLab) have collaborated to co-host the “Maptime Tanzania - Map My Campus” event to be held on Friday, April 28th. Please join volunteers, colleagues, students, partners etc and learn how to map OpenStreetMap, the map of the collaborative and free world during a mapathon!

    Details:
    When: Friday April 28th.
    Time: 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm
    Where: Tanzania Data Lab (dLab) - CoICT, University of Dar es Salaam, Kijitonyama.

    Bring:
    Laptop computer (Linux, Mac or Windows)
    An external mouse is highly recommended
    Power supply for laptop
    If you own a GPS or GPS-equipped smartphone, please bring it along. If not, we will have GPS units to loan.

    Learn: no prior knowledge is necessary, however you can:
    Open an OSM account (if you don’t have one), click here.
    Play around on how to use OpenStreetMap editors (iD editor or a pro JOSM editor)
